Sofia Zahara Vera’s photography captures the fragmented poetry of everyday life in downtown Miami, seen through the lens of a city kid and art student moving through the world. Shot primarily from the windows of public buses she rode daily, these images preserve fleeting moments of light, architecture, and human presence as they blur past the glass. What emerges is both intimate and urban: a visual diary of routine commutes that transforms ordinary cityscapes into meditations on transience, perspective, and belonging. Each photograph reflects not only the rhythm of Miami’s streets but also the act of observing — of finding beauty, meaning, and memory in the spaces between destinations.
